Our client in a nutshell

Racing Post is part of SSG and a long-term trusted client of Chromeye’s services. The company is a market-leading, multimedia sports publisher, providing a mixture of premium data, award-winning editorial content, integrated in-app and online betting and expert tipping services. Since its inception, Racing Post has become the number-one destination for horse racing news, cards and results.


The Challenge

Our company was contracted with the task of redesigning the existing Racing Post Free Bets website as well as designing and developing a landing page devoted to the Cheltenham ‘24 Festival. The redesigned site and landing page had to feature an attractive yet minimalistic design. The aim was to create a user-friendly design, allowing easy navigation, while providing ample information for the visitors. Still it had to be aligned with the overall brand identity of the client. Chromeye vigorously accepted the challenge!

The Solution

Chromeye provided an entirely new design for the Free Bets site to accommodate the new more complex structure and requirements of the editorial team. We were focused on improving the UX/UI of the site for a wide range of devices and browsers and changed virtually all site components. Many of the new components also required updating the current CMS to allow for increased ability to manage and edit easily the structure and content within the pages. The redesign was implemented in extremely short order and the switchover was a seamless one. All in time for the 🏇 Cheltenham Festival 🏇!

The Cheltenham Daily Offers landing page was part of the Free Bets site and was aimed at presenting the very best in bookmaker sign-up offers and free bets, as well as exclusive Racing Post offers and giveaways. As such our design and development teams had to come up with something extraordinary and also very quickly. The beautiful animations and the simplistic user-friendly design helped our Client to realise their campaign in an extremely successful manner.

The client also used the Bookmaker quiz page from the Free bets site within their dedicated app. The development team provided a solution for a completely customisable experience for app users, which surpassed any expectations.
